Characteristics
Description
Blue/black with dark orange head. Anal fin with bluish white band on the edge.
Similar Species
Can look similar to some damselfishes.
Maximum Size
8cm.
Associated Organisms
None.
Behaviour
Likely to spend most of its time within the rock structure. Can swim quite quickly in and out of the rock. Can harrass others, especially around feeding.
Captive Care
Tank Size
Recommend minimum 3 foot tank. While most of it's time is spent in and out of the rocks, it can be a very fast swimmer.
Water Flow
No special requirements, but substantial flow to accomidate for movement through rock structure.
Lighting
No special requirements.
Feeding
Feeding of meaty foods (brine/mysis shrimp). Will graze on live rock.
Growth Rate
Reasonable fast growth rate to maximum ~8cm.

Things that adversely effect it, such as bacterial infections, parasites etc.
