The purpose of this forum is to allow people to showcase their tanks, and allow other uses to ask questions on equipment, livestock, methodology etc.
Specifically for Nano and Pico Tanks with a Volume less than 100 litres.
Started my little reef off in a Ocean Free nano marine 24 litre. Currently cycling.
Would be keen for anyone to identify anything they see in the pictures as i post them. Have been focusing on the tank chemistry rather than identifying species etc.
These photos are from day 4, will upload some clearer ones from today shortly. PH 8 AMM .50 Nitrite .25 Nitrate 5 Sal 1.26 Temp 29
Have a little tiny snail. He has a purple shell and is almost over impossible to see against the coralline algae on the rocks. Actually could be a hermit can't tell.
He has a conical shaped shell but not a dangerous cone shell type one. He cruised around a lot.
Have a tiny yabby looking critter. He's tiny and is almost transparent. Lives under the rock And see him eating stuff off the rock. See his little nippers anyway
Have tgthese little featherdusters that go back into the rock when they see movemen.
Have tthese other little ones that glow green under the blue leds.
See the occasional white mucus string spew from a hole in the rock with no idea what's behind that.
Some brown and green fine hair type algae developing.
the tiny ones that glow green under blue LED are more than likely aiptasia or glaas anemone's, keep an eye on them and try to deal with them as soon as possible as they can spread!
I'll try and get a couple of shots. I like the look of them, I have three if them. They have tentacles that move around and when the white light is on they go back into the rock.
Actually correct that. There are a couple of little green ones that hide in the rock. There are a couple of brown ones that are on the end of a tube sort of foot. They don't hide they hang out there all the time. I'll try to get some photos tonight.
