ok hi all im going to start my new tank journal.....
i finally got my stand started and getting called tomorrow about my tank....

its going to be 8x3x2.....mainly sps but will have my rics and special lobos
and the odd morph trackys fungi buttons
the stand is being made of 50 by 50 powder coated metal.... Thanks to my awsome dad.... :thumbsup:
sump will be 4x2x50mm race track .......
i will be using a Huge skimmer on this one (my current display is skimmerless....)
UV..... yup for sure PS: dont even try advise me not to,this is my tank..:spit:
calcium reactor yup brand not decided
proflux ;)for sure
4 vortech mp40w or maybe
2x30 000lph tunze tubelle controllable punps with muticontroll

4x blumen bright reflectors large size with 250w
14k tubes......and planning to use LEDS for most of my actinics....and down the track change the ballasts and bulbs to leds when they finally make it to oz....

ah yeah the only problem is my dam door on my shop its only 86cm wide max..... so the stand is only 80cm high .... :wall: :wall: :wall:

actually maybe my sump will have to be 5x2.5x45 or 50cm :konk:

Darren,

I think your front door is a ally slider. correct me if wrong.

If so, you should be able to remove the fixed section in a flash. that way you will have the complete opening.

if you know a glazier they could come in and remove a window for you, then you put the stand and tank through and then they put the window back...

alternatively if you have any spare bricks laying around i can remove the window for you, only problem is that i don't think i could put it back :roflmao:

yes ;)but still limited room between sump and top not that bad i guess... ill make it work but have to have a section next to it similar to stripes for my new skimmer or i could cut a hole in the bottom shelf and have my skimmer sit on the floor.... ;) yes well make this work nicely :thumbsup:

im getting so excited for this new baby .......both of them :roflmao:

Mmmm. yep that stuff that idea. but the brick is an alternative :devil:



It is the tartus... looks bigger as this is only the front of the shop
