Thank you Sir!

This little tank gets next to no algae and i only see a light film forming after 2-3 weeks of not wiping the bottom / glass. I've spotted 3 stomatella's in there which came on the live rock and have gone from a match head
size to nearly 2cm long when they cruise the glass.

They do a great job of cleaning the glass.

Here are my final updates for the end of the competition. As soon as i come close to the tank the corals start to close up, below is the best i could take.

It's been fun and I've learn a fair bit about tiny tanks and what it takes to look after them long term. Listed are some of the things i checked daily / weekly
- 1.2L water change 2 times per week
- In addition to the small heater, I had to wrap it in a blanket to keep the heat in
- Summer needed a 5cm computer fan to keep it at 26deg
- Change a small strip of filter wool every few days which sat in the back part directly under the overflow comb.
- Feed the tank with mysis and cyclops daily (mixed 1/2 of a block each for the main tank and took out 0.5ml in a syringe.
- Mixed up 2ml of KZ B-Balance, 2 drops of sponge power 3 times a week for the main tank and took out 0.5ml in a syringe each time for the pico.
- 2 drops of zeobak weekly.

It's been easy to maintain and keep with the only issue being the SPS losing tissue colour when i raised the light intensity, It still kept the bright green polyps and i have adjusted the light back to see if it recovers.

Thanks to all who organised and ran this competition, it's been fun and see you next year.

Thanks Cody, This ones a keeper, My son claims and tells everyone what a great tank he built and looks after so i can't take it off him.

I think he fed the tank once this year :roflmao: :roflmao:

Looking forward to adding some more corals now that the competition is over.

Such an inspiration for pico reefing!! Are you using any sort of filter media still?

Thank you!

I only cut a small strip of sponge and sit it behind the overflow comb to pick up particles in the water.

It lasts about a week before its dark brown and needs changing.
