I went for a trip to Mackay and just happened to walk into the fish shop there when they were unpacking some new corals. I couldn’t resist picking up this new piece,

It’s looking very good after making the trip home. It’s pretty big, about the size of 2 hands.

very nice jason, it should be awesome when it recovers and adapts to the zeovite ;)

It looks like it’s going to take the changeover petty good, full polyp extension today, no signs of any dieback. No zeovite though.

Great Biuld mate! im in the process of biulding something similar but 2ft cube! any chance you could post a pic of your sump? id luv to see how thats going! :thumbsup:

Looks great dude! I'm going to attempt a DIY light similar to your soon :) how do u find the light output? Good enough for SPS?

More than enough for SPS, the tank is only 18" deep. Unfortunately I have pretty much lost the corals now, trying to kill off a plague of dinos that was overrunning the tank. Most of it has died off now, but it 2 of the colonies are badly damaged only the small green acro looks like it might make it. :wall:

I'm about to head off on a 5 week holiday too... so I am hoping that I will return to something still alive. When I get back I plan to make some big changes to the rock in the tank as I have never really been totally happy with the base rock that I used.
