Lovely tank and well done. I say all corals into NZ must be imported? Local water temp would be too cold i guess?

Amino acids are like trace elements as such.

Whats your royal gramma got in his mouth, looks like he has eaten a shrimp?

Cheers

Can you explain what you are doing with the amino acids?

Amino acids help coral grow and colour up. great for acropora.

How do you get your corals in NZ? I gather that they are imported

All corals/fish are imported. we have 3 week quarantine period in new zealand.
The marine hobby is very small in NZ so we only have about 12 shops in the country that stock them, many shops only have 2-3 holding tanks.

Yes i think it was a shrimp or the shell, the bad news is that i cant see him today. might have died after eating too much.

That is a great looking tank. Do you have a license to bring in your own livestock or do you purchase from the LFS in Auckland - Hollywood and Jansen's I seem to recall.

What type of setup do you have for the tank? Do you use NSW?

Cheers,
Blennie.

I am new zealands largest importer of livestock. thats no saying much as in terms of volume it is minor.
Most of my stock i have had was prior to importing .

I use Red sea salt as NSW is not the best as it contains ammonia and p04 sometimes.
