Here at Reefing The Australian Way Forums we go to great lengths to ensure your forum experience is pleasurable and informative, free of clutter and distraction. On many web forums it is difficult to distinguish the written text usually having to wade through advertisements, unruly user signatures and unregulated avatar image sizes to find the actual response.

For this reason we ask that you adhere to the following when creating your User Profile and are aware that changes may be implemented by the Reefing The Australian Way Forums Moderating Team without notice.

USERNAME: Whilst there is no set character limitation, a username greater than 16 characters will impact the overall width of the forum when that user posts.

AVATAR: An Avatar is an image chosen to identify you in forums and Reefing The Australian Way Forums has a strict policy of image dimensions no greater than 100 x 100 pixels and image size of no greater than 100 kilobytes.

SIGNATURE: Primarily on Reefing The Australian Way Forums the signature field is used to apply a greeting at the end of each message “Cheers Bill”, some use the area to include a cliché, and many use it to provide a link to their Tank Journal threads. Society and committee members will often use this area to signify their position within a Society or the MASA/RTAW Community. There is a specific Business Signature that is compulsory for Registered Business Users. The signature area is NOT for providing links to 3rd party websites or business or extreme text graphic drawings. There is also a strict policy of no images in profile signatures.

PM: Private Messages are subject to the same rules as content posted in the forums. The content of PM`s is not proactively reviewed however where a complaint is received from a user the forum moderators can review the content of any PM`s sent via Reefing The Australian Way Forums.

All of this makes for an easy to navigate forum thread system where posts and replies can be quickly accessed without hindrance.

While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws.
