Orchid Dottyback Breeding

Post by gpsmart »

So I’ve raised these guys a few times previously but it really never gets old. Seeing them change from clear to purple over the course of a week or so is a great reward for a few weeks of effort to raise them through meta. Here are a few pics.

Orchids in their larval tank. Still about a dozen left to go through meta at this stage.

A slightly blurry close up. The little buggers just won’t stay still.

74 Orchids were transferred to my grow out system. The last pic is just before acclimatisation and transfer to their new home.

Impressive effort. Well done at putting in the time to achieve such a great outcome.

Thanks Basenji,
I’m currently trying to refine my process so the time commitment is a little less.
