HI
My rainwater tank is running less tds than my main water supply to my house. ( 60 instead of 80 )
My question is this, my rainwater tank is pumped and is used to flush toilets and feed the washing machine in the laundry and is coming out at good pressure, can i hook up my ro/di unit to the washing machine feed in the laundry ( so rainwater under pressure ) to make my own saltwater at home. ?
i have a 4 stage 150g unit brand new, cant see why i cant myself but putting it out there to more wiser people than me with more experience.
thanks in advance

As long as the pressure is close to your mains pressure, it should be fine

I've heard that one concern is the risk of a biofilm growing and cloging your membrane prematurely. Apparently adding a UV steriliser before the filter can reduce the impact.
