MASA Committee and 2016 AGM

Hi Members,

Just a short notice to advise the MASA Committee has finalised the 2016 AGM and have elected the following representatives in the management roles;

President: Paul (Onsan) from MASRQ
Vice President: Dave (Aydee) from MASAOG
Secretary: Ben (n0rk) from MASQ
Treasurer: Shona (shona) from MASWA
Business and Advertising Coordinator: Wayne (Sailfin) from MASS
General rep: Rene (coral1) from MASOV
General rep: Ken (syndoitis) MASOV


Thank you to those that were willing to take on these roles and I look forward to kicking some goals with you all this year.
Would also like to thank those who filled the roles over the last year and their efforts in keeping this place functioning, a final thank you to our retiring President, Matt1961 for his work in leading the committee team.

Other matters discussed during the AGM were;

* Proposition to outsource advertising and business forum management via a commission basis on subscription signups, passed in principle and enquiries being sort.
* Resolved to fall back to the MASA Incorporated policy of requiring only the 4 executive positions to be filled and quorum to be met; whilst the committee desires a full compliment of 2 Reps from each MASx (totalling 12), the failure to fill these positions or have active responses from members holding these positions will not be a continued hindrance to the effective operation of the committee. Propositions made, voting and resolutions will require only the 4 executive positions to respond and endorse or deny. Votes from reaming members of the committee will be continue to be carried and at equal weighting to the executive votes. In the event of a deadlock, the poll shall be turned in and may either be proposed again after further consideration or revised with an alternative proposal.
* Resolved to reinstate our liability insurance, MASx presidents have been requested to supply current membership numbers and re-quote has been sought.
* Banking access is being transferred from previous treasurer to current President and Treasurer as per MASA policy.
* Mycav submission has been made for 2016 AGM however 2015 AGM has not yet been submitted, this will be followed up in due course.

Once again, a huge thanks to those that have volunteered to fill the vacated positions past and present, your time and efforts are sincerely appreciated and we acknowledge that without the commitment you've offered this association will, quite literally, cease to exist.
