Can't wait for the influx of new tank owners. Shops better get in some blue tangs to sell

I feel sorry for the fish (blue tangs) that are going to suffer.
Like what happened with Clownfish when Nemo came out.

For some LFS, it must be like Xmas for them...
(Only caring about the $$$)

Maybe an opportunity for MASA to educate inexperienced people,
Who want to get "Dory" as their 1st fish...

I really wish we would need a licence to own any animal. It would stop situations like this where people go and kill a tang just so their kid can own a 'dory' for a day or two.

Why doesn't someone make a sticky thread about owning a Blue tang? You can't stop people buying them (we know it's going to happen) but with enough hits on Google, etc a little care sheet/fact sheet that pops up can't hurt.

i wholeheartedly agree, if your depleting the world's fish / coral there should be body that makes you take a test or something to ensure you have the education.

Saw a shop in south west Sydney with a big display of 60L tanks advertising to take a dory home today for $499.... :( :(
