Re: Sams DIY Pico
Cheers! When the comp is over, I will pop a glass sump in it with an ATO I have sitting about. Should be pretty neat

Re: Sams DIY Pico
Couple days late on the May update, but here it is none the less. Finally found time to move the lighting back over to the open top setup which is not plagued with moisture issues
Poor frags have gone a few weeks without light, so are slowly recovering again. Pepp shrimp is happy though, only hides for half the day now

Re: Sams DIY Pico
haha you could be right, there are quite a few action movie posters around the tank to scare the poor little pepp: Kill Bill(s), Lost Boys, Traitor, Rock n Rolla, Body of Lies, Max Payne - to name a few
Also - I have gone back through this journal and fixed the image sizing on the early pics. For some reason they were huge and cropped? All sorted now

Re: Sams DIY Pico
Final full tank shot. Not too much more happening in there, will add a bunch of differnt morphs to the tank once the comp is over and officially make it a mushroom garden! Everything just ticking over nicely

Re: Sams DIY Pico
It's at work and I can't remember the exact dimensions, but it is about the size of a tissue box or a 2l milk container. This pic gives a better idea:

What a great idea, a scale pico. Very nice work! Looks great. Can i ask how you secured the plumbing in your return overflow, is it just silicone or did you use a small bulkhead?

Still waiting for my 3d printer to arrive (kickstarter....) so just turned down some nylon hose fittings for a snug fit and siliconed in place

Re: Sams DIY Pico
Now that the comp is over, I replaced the DIY led setup with a spare GHL mitras I have. Slightly overkill for a 6l tank, and is on 10% high efficiency mode.... LOL
