MASWA is hosting a meeting place for the benefit of its members to sell, swap and trade any excess aquarium equipment and coral frags to other members and the public.
Mission Statement:
MASWA’s aim for this event is to encourage and promote sustainability within the marine aquarium hobby. By opening this event to MASWA members and general public it is hoped that it can be displayed that quality corals can be easily propagated and grown by the general aquarist.
How it will work on the day:
Time Schedule:
- 8.30-10:00 - Seller setup (Sellers help main setup also)
10.00-3:00 - Doors Open
3:00 - Doors close
Doors Open:
Person at the door to welcome people & provide name tags.
Activities during the day:
Food and drink will be available along with raffles and some other prize winning activities. These will be made public closer to the time.
Commercial Traders:
No commercial retailers this time.
Any commercial traders will be trading as MASWA members.
Prices:
Discounted rates are made available for MASWA members.
Half Table: $50.00 Price includes 34lts Nano Frag tank:- water, labels, power, towel & chair
- Early Booking Price: $45. Pay before 15-12-14
Full Table: $65.00 Price includes 34lts Nano Frag tank:- water, labels, power, towel & chair
- Early Booking Price: $55. Pay before 15-12-14
$20 for an additional tank (max 4 tanks per table – weight restrictions)
Sellers need to bring:
Bags for sold corals
Rubber Bands
Towels
Money (change)
Esky to hold excess frags.
Bags & elastic bands will be available on the day for small fee
Frag Fest & Swap Meet rules
Frag Rules:
The corals bought to the day are the owners responsibility throughout the day.
Corals are to be in healthy condition.
It is the sellers entitlement to place whatever price they see fit on the corals.
MASWA is providing the facility to sell, swap and trade corals and will not enter into any dispute resolution.
NSW will be supplied on the day, if you wish the corals to be in your own water please bring it along with you.
Swap Meet rules:
Equipment bought shall be clean and in good working order (unless otherwise disclosed to seller)
Electrical equipment may be tested on the day at the tables.
240v equipment which has been modified (unless by an electrician) or any unlicensed DIY 240v products are not permitted.
Any selling, swapping or trading is between the seller and buyer, with no warranty provided nor implied (unless otherwise agreed on)
MASWA is providing the facility to sell equipment and will not enter into any dispute resolution.
General rules:
This is a hired venue so please minimise spilling of water and treat the venue with care.
This is a photo of the tanks available. It will hold 56 frag plugs

The tank will be bought along to the end of year meet to see the size so everyone can see what they can fit into the tanks.
A poll will be conducted closer to the time to determine the umber of attendees so allowances can be made for food & drinks.
