My thoughts exactly! Haha! They need to increase the security features on the registration process instead!

This from one of the site admins
So sounds like they are onto it and it will be temporary. Was a long time member and always found it to be a fair open and well run place with well-informed knowledge base that is both active and generous. I would never have had succesful planted tanks without them. Sad to see them having troubles
It was decided to lock down registration while the flaw that was allowing constant spammers it was found
We were worried our current members very quickly get fed up with random spam posts so to protect them we closed ALL new registrations
It will be opened again
Please pass on apologize to any you speak to
Graeme

Re: Aussie fresh water site - suggestions?
I have been reading through heaps of threads, and they have what seems to be a very polite and enjoyable forum! Which is why I would like to register. The problem is, that was written on the 2nd, and the "It will be opened again" seems a touch unambiguous. All good, I will have to wait and hide!

I still have my registration there, infact only just posted up asking about the closing for new members.
While you wait you could always try QLDAF.
Theres some planted gurus on there, but they dont tend to post much.
As to the shrimp, most enthusiasts left aquariumlife and splintered off to the shrimpscape or theshrimpkeepers forum.
These days the shrimp keepers one is the strongest.
