Product: Growth & Colour BOOSTER

What is it supposed to do?
As with all products of its type CoraTroph Reef claims to boost disease resistance and colouration in fish, inverts and corals.
CS Growth & Colour booster can be used in conjunction with CoraTroph. (Also being tested).
So What comes in the bottle?
Basically it's a premix of vitamins/minerals/amino's. Designed to help with the growth and well being of fish and inverts.
24 trace elements
6 noble metals in trace concentrations
3 vitamins
8 carbohydrates
21 amino-acids and their derivatives
2 mixtures of complex acids
Trace amount of fatty acids
Instructions on the side of the bottle and website are clear and include overdose symptoms so that users unfamiliar to dosing can look for the warning signs when they begin using the product.
How do you work this thing?
Suggested Dose:
20 ml / 100L of water / week
Overdose symptoms and troubleshooting
Exceedingly high concentration of mineral and organic nutrients. This may be the cause of loss of the bright coral coloration, an unnatural colour change - usually browning - and unwanted algae and cyanobacteria colonies growth. Limit the dosage or even temporarily interrupt supplement application and wait until the situation improves. The unfavourable situation may last even weeks, because primarily algae generate metabolic nutrient reserves for a rather long time.
First-time application
If your tank is NOT highly populated with invertebrates, the initial dosage should be ca 5 ml / 100 l water / week. The dosage may then be gradually increased, as long as none of the above mentioned overdose symptoms occur. The optimal dosage in highly populated tanks may be even higher than suggested one and its adjustment is always a matter of experimentation.
What's it like to use
I set it up to dose 1/2 of the recommended dose initially to avoid system shock and to ensure I didn't overdose, I then upped the dose to the recommended amount of 20ml/100L = 105ml/week by setting my dosing pump to 15ml/day.
There was no precipitation in the bottle, and no clogging of the dosing lines or encrustation on the end of the dosing line at the tank end.
Final Opinion
It's still early days, but colours on some of my harder to keep corals have been a bit faded until recently, I couldn't swear the improvement is entirely down to the Growth & Colour BOOSTER as since using the CS test kits I have been testing more regularly to ensure my parameters are in check and tweaking dosing of Alk/Ca/Mg and have been using the Coral-troph.
