Introduction
Previously referred to as Alcyonaria. Includes sea fans (Gorgonacea), sea pens (Pennatulacea) and the soft corals (Alcyonacea).
Characteristics
All exhibit eight fold symmetry, which translates to having a multiply of eight tentacles per polyp.
